Life Updates: December 2019
Here’s some stuff that’s been going on with me recently:
I’m writing this post from a hotel room in downtown Boston. Lauren has a work function here and I got to tag along for the trip. This is my first time here! The city is beautiful and rich with history. I got out and explored a little bit this morning. Finally visited Berklee College of Music which was my daydream college when I was 17 and wanting to be a full time musician.
I started a new workout program called Next Level. I’m used to 30-minute workouts, but these ones are 45-70 minutes. Longer workouts are a different mentality and scheduling challenge, but I’m enjoying the change of pace. Doing a few workouts every week has been life-changing for me over the past few years.
We passed our 6 month Danger Crew launch anniversary in November! We’re actually past 7 months now, I guess. Our “year one” sales are still pretty good. No outrageous numbers or anything, but it’s cool to see new people still discovering the game. We’ve officially started work on the sequel game. Hoping to have a demo ready in spring 2020.
I’m brainstorming a few audio plugin ideas. This is a new world for me… I’m not really sure how one gets into that sort of thing. I’ll eventually report back here if I ever pursue that. I hoping to come up with something that can quickly generate MIDI files (for multiple tracks) to quickly scaffold riffs, harmonies, drum parts, even full arrangements. Sounds like a lot now that I type it out.
No big travel plans for the rest of 2019, but I do have a few trips in the works for early 2020.
Until next time!
